With all the stories of doom and gloom- it's good to get some good news.

Last weekend saw a flotilla of some of the world's finest marine craft assemble in the serene surroundings of Middle Harbour's Sugarloaf Bay. It was a perfect setting for the 27 assembled Sea Ray luxury craft ranging in size from 24 feet up to the magnificent Sea Ray 60 Sundancer.

The weekend got underway with vessels arriving on Saturday morning from as far as Port Hacking to Pittwater, and by midday the famous Andrew Short Marine Sea Ray Rendezvous Circle was formed.

The owners enjoyed a spectacular weekend of Andrew Short Marine's hospitality. "We like to help our customers get as much use and fun as they can from their boats." said Andrew Short. "An event like this takes a lot of work to organise but seeing how much enjoyment everybody gets out of the experience makes it really worthwhile. It is a great opportunity for our owners to meet each other, to learn more about their boats, and boating in general through the interaction with the staff. It is our way of thanking our clients for their ongoing support, to increase our clients boating knowledge and strengthen our staff/client relationships."

Sea Ray owners were treated to a unique ownership experience surrounded by their fellow boat owners and their families. The kids were kept busy on 2 x large floating trampolines, and with organised activities including fishing competitions and tours of the famous Maxi Yacht 'Brindabella', which also spent the weekend as part of the raft up. Everyone from the Sea Ray family enjoyed the informative presentations provided by NSW Maritime, Cummins Marine Diesel and Mercury Marine representatives.

The intermittent rain during the day didnt dampen anyone's spirits and as the weather started to clear in the afternoon, the live entertainment performed by a pop duo, got underway on the aft deck of the 60 Sundancer getting everyone in the mood for the upcoming night's festivities. After the sensational BBQ dinner, delivered to each vessel by staff on the floating galley, guests were treated to a boating trivia competition with the smarty's taking home a raft of prizes donated by our big name sponsors - Toyota, Slam, Sea Ray, Club Marine, Sydney City Lexus, Mercury and Andrew Short Marine. Special recognition was made for the guests that travelled from Port Hacking and Pittwater to attend the event and they also received additional discounts on their Club Marine Insurance Premium to make their journey even more worthwhile.

Over ten thousand dollars worth of goods and prizes were given away over the weekend. On the completion of the trivia competition Sea Ray FM was turned up a notch and the party was definitely in full swing!

On Sunday morning guests were treated to a BBQ banquet breakfast and spent the morning relaxing, swimming, and chatting with their neighbours. One couple who have only recently taken delivery of their new Sundancer said "We have had a great weekend, Andrew and his staff have thought of everything even setting up our own Sea Ray FM to keep everyone informed and involved, I was delighted to wake up and find the Sunday papers had been delivered to our boat and we have had the chance to make lots of new friends who we can share our boating lifestyle with."

Andrew and the team would like to thank all the customers who attended and enjoyed another fantastic boating experience.
